REQUIREMENTS
Thank you for your interest in working The University of Texas Longhorns Boys Basketball Summer Camps. Please be aware that NCAA rules prohibit us, or any other university, from hiring any individual who is associated with a prospect currently being recruited by the institution, or from hiring a prospect (grades 9-12) who is an athletics award winner (letterwinner). Our compliance department will review each staff application to determine whether there are any NCAA rules issues with your potential employment at our camps. We ask that you get your application in to us as soon as possible so that we may get word to you in plenty of time to plan your summer.
Please be aware that Texas Senate Bill 1414 requires that camp employees/volunteers pass a certified training and testing program on child abuse and molestation awareness (CAMAT). You must complete an online training session and pass the review within the last two years in order to be employed by The University of Texas camp programs. Once you have submitted your application and are offered employment, our Human Resources Department will send instructions so that you may complete the CAMAT program, along with additional training modules required for all University employees.
Staff members are expected and required to maintain a professional appearance, and to conduct themselves with the highest standards of behavior expected of staff, role models, and supervisors of The University of Texas at Austin. Applicants must agree to work in an alcohol, tobacco, and drug-free environment upon hiring. Inappropriate language and behavior will not be tolerated at any time.
